When it came down to it, I found myself rooting for The Artist over Hugo. Not that either movie is my favorite of 2011, my personal top 10 only had 3 films that made it into Oscar’s Best Picture field (Artist, Hugo, EL&IC), so this was more about fun and glamour than caring about their choices.
